Third parties your browser contacts

We serve most of this site ourselves, but a few files come from other companies' servers. None of them sets a cookie here. Each one does see your IP address, your browser type and the page you were on, because that is unavoidable when a browser requests a file from another domain.

Why there is a notice at all

Strictly speaking, storage that exists only to remember your own choice does not require consent. The notice is there so the position is stated rather than assumed, and so this page has somewhere to be linked from. Dismissing it does not switch anything on, because there is nothing to switch on.

Removing what is stored

Clear the one entry. Open your browser's site settings for this domain and clear site data. The notice will appear again on your next visit.
Block it entirely. Browsing in a private or incognito window discards the entry when you close the window.
Stop the third-party requests. A content blocker will prevent the font, image and library requests above. The site remains readable, with system fonts in place of ours.

If this page ever stops being true

If we add analytics, we will say so here before it goes live, name the tool, and put the choice behind a real opt-in rather than a banner that assumes it. The same standard we hold client systems to applies to our own site.
